bounty hunter

*** Coming Soon – BURN – a vampire and shapeshifter romance ***

BURN

A vampire on the run.

A shapeshifting bounty hunter hired to capture her.

Who will outsmart whom?

Layla Black flees London, on the run from a master vampire. She reinvents herself as Angelica, the singer of an 80s metal cover band in Boston, but her past soon catches up to her.

Devon St. Clair, bounty hunter extraordinaire, is in hot pursuit of a thieving vampire. Vampires, he hated them. Capturing Layla should be a satisfying gig that nets a nice profit.

But Devon wasn’t counting on spitfire Layla being his target, distracting him from his mission. Besides, shapeshifters and vampires didn’t mix. And more bloodsuckers are on their tail.

The hunt is on. But, who will be predator, and who will be prey?

Burn is the fourth installment in the Underground Encounters series, set in a club that attracts supernatural creatures. Step into Vamps, a thrilling new world of steamy paranormal romance featuring sexy shifters, thirsty vampires, wicked witches, and gorgeous gargoyles.

A.S. Fenichel on American Idol and Writing Believable Fiction

Today we have a special guest post from the lovely A.S. Fenichel, who is discussing American Idol and writing believable fiction. She will also tell us about Kane’s Bounty, part of the On the Hunt theme from Ellora’s Cave. Welcome, A.S.!

Thanks for inviting me to your blog Lisa. I’m happy to be here to celebrate the release of my first full length novel, Kane’s Bounty. This is one book in a series, bounty hunter themed books releasing throughout the month of May from Ellora’s Cave Publishing.

The other night I was watching American Idol. I’m totally addicted to the show and have even gotten my husband hooked. The judges this year have been hounding the contestants every week about connecting with the songs. They have talked about singing from the heart. They have droned on about connecting with the audience. I find myself yelling at the television that they should just move on.

A recent interview question got me thinking about this focus on making a connection. The question was: how would you describe your writing style? I didn’t know how to answer. I would never try. I thought it through for a long time before answering honestly, “I write from my heart and I hope people will connect to the story and the characters.”

I guess I can’t holler at the American Idol judges anymore for boring me with the same comments every week. They have the right of it. It’s all about making that connection. It doesn’t matter what I’m writing, every person in my book has to mean something to me. Some of them I hate with a passion and some I love and wish I could have coffee and a chat with. My Hero in KANE’S BOUNTY, I’d like to bring home for a night or two. He’s hot! 😉

I sincerely believe that if I didn’t have love, hate, admiration, envy, or pity for them, they would fall flat for the readers.

Here’s the back cover from Kane’s Bounty. Enjoy!

Kane’s Bounty

kanesbounty_msrTelepathic bounty hunter Kane has one rule—never get involved with a fugitive.

It’s a simple assignment with good money at the end. Picking Lena up is no problem. Protecting her when her ex-husband, mercenaries and another bounty hunter threaten her turns into the fight of their lives.

Together, the Stones of Adeline and Lena are powerful magic. She never considered the complication of the sexy bounty hunter and her undeniable desire for him. Their paranormal bond will need to be strong if they’re to survive together.
