Lisa Carlisle’s Stop on the Midsummer Night’s Tea Party Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Midsummer Night’s Tea Party blog hop hosted by ParaYourNormal! I’m Lisa Carlisle and I write paranormal romance and I love tea so what an ideal place for me to join. Let’s talk tea. What’s a tea party without it?

My mother and her family are all tea drinkers so I grew up starting my days with tea with milk. And then we had afternoon tea. And whenever someone came by, tea was served. Or if someone had a problem, tea was often part of the solution. My siblings and I have moved into our own houses now, but whenever we get together, you often hear the question, “Tea?”

Now when I’m writing, I often do so with a cup of tea or coffee by my side–that may be my only writing ritual. Recently I finished a paranormal trilogy called Chateau Seductions, paranormal erotic romances set at an art colony. Here’s a blurb of Dark Stranger, with wolf shifters, a gargoyle, and a vampire. Yes, a gargoyle–I love writing about gargoyles!

Dark Stranger

Dark StrangerWolf shifters come to Chateau seeking a missing pack member. During an altercation, Cameron Stevens, the manager of the art colony, is separated from the others. He ends up alone with Nadya, one of the female shifters.

Together, in the forests of DeRoche Island, they struggle against conflicting feelings. In addition to battling each other as well as their mistrust, they fight a powerful, inexplicable attraction to one another—one that leaves them irrevocably entwined.

They’re mates? Cameron can’t comprehend or accept such a thing is possible. They’re two different species and their worlds don’t mesh. He can’t fight the heated desire burning between them and her touch is impossible to resist. His heart and mind aren’t on the same page where she’s concerned. One thing is certain—Nadya is stamped on both.

5* Review of Dark Stranger from Books and Beyond Fifty Shades! “I have read the first 2 books in this series and could not wait to get my hands on this one; and I was not disappointed. The thing I love most, is that while this is a story about paranormal creatures, you can still relate to the trial and tribulations that they go through. You can relate to how each character is feeling, even though you are nothing like them.”

When I need an afternoon break, nothing is better than tea and a chapter in a book. I prefer black tea, especially Earl Grey or one with vanilla. Not a fan of herbal or fruity teas at all. Are you a tea drinker? If so, what type do you prefer?
